Quotes to Ponder

Those who behave in ways that displease you are sending out their disharmony toward you because that is what they have to give away. Hating them is akin to hating moss for growing on a tree.
Wayne Dyer

Anything in life that we don't accept will simply make trouble for us until we make peace with it.
Shakti Gawain

The love of one's country is a natural thing. But, why should love stop at the border?
Pablo Casals

****

Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.
Og Mandino

You must be in the mode of joy, or of feeling good, in order to let in the things you've been asking for. You must first get happy. You cannot work hard enough to make the things that you want happen....it is only in your attitude of joy that they do.

Vision

It all began with a vision, a vision which I held for many, many years, until one day about a year and a half ago, I had done enough work on myself that I was able to actually "see" myself in Peru. Part of it was about "deserving", but most of it was about fear. Now, only one year after my first trip, I am leaving in a few days for my second trip there. Life is good!
Life is so good when we allow it to be.

Several clients have said "I have always wanted to go to Peru", or "Someday, I hope I can go to Peru". My response, from my heart, is "Don't want. Don't hope." Both are luke-warm statements lacking in passion....and they won't get you there. Once you start saying "I am going to Peru!" you will find yourself there sooner than you ever thought possible! These are the miracles of the Universe.

Life Packaging

It is easy to assume that people who look like us, and, perhaps, talk like us....are just like us. People whose outer appearances are different, can't possibly know of "our struggles". Nothing could be further from the truth. Regardless of outer packaging, we all have similarities for basis of connecting. Seeing others in this way not only makes for a kinder world, but also for a much more exciting one!

The below is an excerpt from the Daily OM:

We have all had the experience of encountering someone whose life seems so completely different from ours that we can almost imagine we have nothing in common. However, if we go deeper into observing, we will see that we all have the same things going on in our lives. It is as if our different lives are in essence the same gift, wrapped in an infinite variety of containers, wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows. Everybody experiences loss, grief, happiness, excitement, anger, and fear. Everyone can have money issues of one kind or another, and everyone struggles with difficult choices.

Our lives show up differently for each one of us because we each learn in different ways. We are all learning, and it is very difficult to tell, when looking only at the exterior of a person, what’s going on inside.

This is one of the many things that can be so valuable about cultivating relationships with people from all walks of life. As we get to know those who seem so different from us, we get to really see how much of life’s challenges and joys are universal. We begin to look beyond the packaging of skin color, clothing preferences, and socioeconomic differences, hairstyles, and the cars we drive to the heart of the human experience. It is important to honor and value the differences in our packaging, but it is just as important to honor the gift of life inside each one of us, and the fact that, no matter how different the packaging, the gift inside is the same

Come Dance With Me

This place where you are right now, God circled on a map for you.

***

Now that
All your worry
Has proved such an
Unlucrative business,
Why not
Find a better job.

***

Ever since happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you.

***

The sun never says to the earth,
"You owe me."
Look what happens with a love like that.
It lights the whole sky.

***

Fear is the cheapest room in the house.
I would like to see you living
In better conditions.

***

Every child has known God,
Not the God of names,
Not the God of don'ts,
Not the God who ever does
Anything weird,
But the God who knows only 4 words
And keeps repeating them, saying:
"Come Dance with Me."
Come Dance.

Hafiz, 14th century Persian poet

Positive Thought and Expression

You manifest what you say you want,
and you manifest what you say you don't want.

When we express ourselves in a negative fashion, we draw the exact opposite of what we desire into our lives. An example of this is evident when we say that we don't want an accident or a sickness to occur. What most of us don't understand is that by talking about anything - whether we want it or we don't - we invoke it; we attract it into our experience.

You see people do this all the time. They'll be talking about something they wouldn't want to happen, and, sure enough, it happens. What they weren't aware of is that, in their thinking processes, they pictured it happening. Since their thoughts are always creating their future, they, in fact, brought it to life when they said they didn't want it to happen.

The antidote to having calamities and accidents befall you is to speak only in the positive, to be even more vigilant of what you're saying, and to stop yourself before you give voice to the negative. Then, you can replace the "I don't wants" and all the talk of calamities by saying what you do want. If, for instance, you catch yourself saying, "I don't want war," which, as you have learned, will only conjure up more aggression and violence; instead, you can say, "I intend that I am living in peace." As you phrase your words like this, you invoke only the positive. There's no possibility for war because you haven't mentioned anything about it.

Some thoughts play tricks on us, having us believe that we are keeping our undesired experiences at bay by voicing our resistance to them. Now, however, as we're beginning to explore, more closely, how our thinking and speaking works, we can see that we are undermining or sabotaging ourselves by all our negative talk; that we are the cause of our calamities by the fact that we talk about them.

This comes from http://www.intenders.org a free service you can subscribe to. Using the word "intend" may make this more comfortable for many, but in PSYCH-K, as well as stated by Eckhart Tolle, it's more powerful to speak in the now. "Intend" is a step removed from the "Now".

So, make the statement: I speak only in the positive.

Thoughts for the Conscious Mind

"I must be aware of bad things, and guarded about bad things, and I must watch out for bad things by trying to guide myself toward good things." You can't do both at the same time. You can't watch out for bad things, and allow good things at the same time. It is vibrationally not possible.
Abraham-Hicks

The Universe is not punishing you or blessing you. The Universe is responding to the vibrational attitude that you are emitting. The more joyful you are, the more Well-being flows to you -- and you get to choose the details of how it flows.
Abraham-Hicks

Make the best of it. When you make the best of whatever you're focused upon, your future will be better than your now. If each moment you're making the best of what-is, no matter what it is, you make the best of it; make the best of it; make the best of it—your future just gets better and better and better, and better.
Abraham-Hicks

On Being Happy

Have you wondered why being called a "happy lady" is a compliment? Most of us believe that happiness is a state of being, dependent on whether we have loving families, good friends, good jobs, a nice house, a great car, plenty of money, and so on. We just have not thought in terms of "happiness" being something that we DO...and, that it does not depend on all those outer things being perfect.

Those outer things are wonderful, indeed, especially if one feels grateful for them. In most cases, though, these outer things are desires of the ego, and the ego is never satisfied. Most people who have all the best toys, just want even more better toys. Ego wants more, more, and more.

Some people appear to have sunnier dispositions than others, and some people also have nurturing parents. Perhaps, happiness is a bit easier for them, but, overall, our world is much too dysfunctional for any of us to escape being mighty unhappy....never realizing that we can decide how to be are, happy or not. The choice is ours. Happiness is a choice, a decision, and anyone can learn the steps to achieving it.

Would you rather hear "Great car!" or be called "happy"? Both? Well, o.k., then. Which is more important to you, though?

Happiness

My hair-dresser works at a new shop which houses several rooms, each for a different kind of service designed to pamper one's outer being. Today, the owner greeted me with "Hello, happy lady!" I must have done a double-take because she followed up with "Yes, YOU! You are always so happy!" I barely had time to realize that it was my most favorite compliment that I have ever received. :-)

She asked me if I would be interested in doing a presentation.....and, of course I would! Wise lady knows that happiness is the best make-up there is. No matter what we do to our outsides, we can't cover up what's inside.

Public speaking is about my least favorite thing to do, but I actually welcome the thought of talking about what reprogramming limiting beliefs does for us.

It sounds very simple: Do the things which make you happy. Don't do the things which make you unhappy. Think happy thoughts. Do not think unhappy thoughts. But when you remember that 95% of the time, it's our subconscious mind which is in charge, it becomes rather clear that we need to change the negative beliefs it holds. For the most part, happiness is an inside job.

Abundance

My cup runneth over!

To those of you who have been procrastinating on making PSYCH-K, or Healthy Weight Management appointments, I am available only for the next 3 weeks before I leave for Peru. After that, I am scheduling for May 20th on. 512-663-5999

Gratitude is the key to abundance. When you're truly thankful for the good things you have, those good things grow more numerous and valuable. So how do you put gratitude into action? By making the most of the good things you have. If you hoard and hide your blessings away, they begin to wither and eventually disappear completely. When, on the other hand, you put the good and valuable things in your life to full use, they multiply many times over.

There is no better way to show your thankfulness and appreciation for something than by using it for a positive, productive, creative purpose. Do that, and the value you already have grows even more valuable. Whatever you have is not really yours unless you are truly thankful for it. To be truly and effectively thankful for it, make full and fruitful use of it. Live with a thankfulness in your heart, in your thoughts and, most importantly, in your every action. All the good things you make use of will grow even better. (Ralph Marston)
